At the meta user level, users are allowed to create cron jobs on both the metaarray and on some servers in the cluster where it is enabled.

You can create and edit cron jobs via the command crontab -e

crontab command will be accessible on the The MetaArray.

At this time, the crontab command is runnable (if you have metaARPA) from the following cluster servers:

• sverige
• iceland

but on the following servers, running 'cron' will return “permission denied”:

• otaku
• rie
• ryo

Setting up on the cluster servers where it works should have the effect you want.

mkcron is referenced in many sources on SDF, but it hasn't been working since at least 2023 but maybe as early as 2021, if you look at bboard. If you are looking for mkcron, see the top of this page.
